Frequently Asked Questions
- Who are you?
- We are a group of individuals dedicated to the restoration of the D’ni City as well as its art, texts, and more. For more information about the group, see our About page.
- What makes you different from the DRC?
- Unlike the second restoration by the DRC, we are not a business, and are non-profit. Additionally, we focus on the restoration of D’ni art and culture as well as rebuilding physical spaces within the city. We understand that we are not the only group restoring D’ni; we treat the Cavern as a public space and do not wish to control it, however we do take great precautions within the areas that we are responsible for. We have no desire to replace the DRC.
- When will you open the areas of the city and Ages that you are working on?
- We currently do not have dates for when certain sections of the city will be open, however we hope to be letting explorers into the City within the next year. Restoring ruins is a long, delicate process and is time-consuming. We have only just begun working on most of our sites, and while we have made progress, there is a lot more to do before we can let crowds into certain areas of the city.
- Where do you get the art for explorers to restore?
- Various locations in the City Proper. Most of our material comes from a D’ni art museum, which we plan to release in the near future, and from a few of the nearby districts.
- How large is your group?
- We are currently at over 20 members and in the process of expanding. You can find out more about our group on the careers page.
- When will Ages and areas be released?
- Our group is still quite small, so there are no immediate release plans, however we are working on setting up some areas for people to visit and perhaps learn more about the group and the areas we’re restoring. We estimate a minimum of a month, though that timeframe can change with more or fewer staff members.
